Integration Assignments

Week One:

Choose 3 different “small s” stressors throughout your day to try one of the strategies we learned: Extend the exhale, 8-4-7, or Figure 8 breathing. Take note of what works and what doesn’t and add to your toolbox accordingly.

Week Three:

Work with the pause and the strategy you developed in your audio lesson. See if you are able to meet some small challenges with your strategy and edit as necessary to make it work for you.

Week Five:

After listening to your audio, spend a few moments journaling about your experience. Consider the following prompts:

  • How do you typically handle situations that require adaptability in your daily life?

  • Reflect on a recent experience where acceptance could have been a tool for empowerment. What would that have looked like?

Week Two:

Work with your listening mindfulness exercise to see where it can be useful in helping you tune in or out to the things that help support more calm in your day. Remember that it’s possible for both to coexist at once and through making a conscious choice to focus, you can manipulate what information gets more “airtime” in your brain.

Week Four:

Embrace the Beginner's Mind as introduced in your audio lesson. Approach familiar breathing exercises with a fresh perspective, engaging with them as if for the first time.
